AFTERDRIVE Are About to Release Their Debut EP, Dress To Drive

AFTERDRIVE's debut EP Dress To Drive arrives 9 October, right before the Ipswich band head out on their first-ever headline UK tour.

Ipswich band AFTERDRIVE are heading into a big few months: their debut EP, Dress To Drive, lands on 9 October, with a follow-up single, ‘Find Your Body’, already locked in for 20 November.

The timing lines up with a genuinely strong run for the band. They’re playing a near sold-out hometown headline show at Baths in Ipswich this Sunday, 20 September, after spending the last few months out supporting acts including McFly and Maggie Lindemann. From there, they head into their own first headline UK tour, which kicks off on 23 October and takes in a London date at Islington Academy2 on the 27th.

BBC Radio 1 has been paying close attention in the meantime. Presenter Alyx Holcombe has described AFTERDRIVE as sounding like “The 1975 meets The Weeknd,” and said she’d “never fallen in love with a band so fast.” Jess Iszatt and Angelle Joseph have also been playing them on the station, the kind of early, multi-presenter Radio 1 support that tends to precede a much bigger year for a new act.

Dress To Drive is already streaming ahead of its full release, giving an early look at the EP before it lands properly alongside the tour dates in October.
