AC/DC Unveils New Line-Up Ahead of Highly Anticipated Tour

As anticipation mounts for their first tour in nearly a decade, AC/DC has revealed the fresh faces joining their legendary ranks. Sharing a snapshot of their revamped line-up, the iconic Australian rock band gears up for a monumental return to the stage.

Front and centre, familiar figures Brian Johnson and Angus Young reclaim their roles as lead vocalist and guitarist, respectively. Joining them are steadfast rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, along with newcomers Matt Laug on drums and Chris Chaney on bass.

Stevie Young, nephew to Angus, has been an integral part of the band for several years, initially stepping in for Malcolm Young during his battle with dementia. Following Malcolm’s passing in 2017, Stevie continued to lend his talents, solidifying his place within the AC/DC family.

Laug steps into the drumming spotlight, making his debut during the Power Trip festival in California last October. His addition comes after the departure of classic drummer Phil Rudd, marking a significant transition for the band’s rhythm section.

Meanwhile, Chaney, recognized for his tenure with Jane’s Addiction, steps into the bassist role, succeeding the retired Cliff Williams.

Johnson’s return marks a poignant moment, rejoining AC/DC after stepping away in 2016 due to hearing issues. During his absence, the band enlisted Axl Rose, but now Johnson reclaims his rightful place at the forefront.

Set to coincide with their 2020 album “Power Up,” the band’s tour will ignite on May 17 at Germany’s Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen. From there, they’ll traverse Spain, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond, culminating in a grand finale at Dublin’s Croke Park+ on August 17.

The tour promises to be a triumphant celebration of AC/DC’s enduring legacy, showcasing both their timeless hits and electrifying new material. Fans eagerly await the chance to witness these rock titans in action once more.
