All Time Low Brings Unforgettable Night to Manchester on Last Young Renegade Tour

American pop-punk band All Time Low hosted an unforgettable night in Manchester on Friday, effortlessly merging their youthful spirit with their current sound during their Last Young Renegade tour.

Opening for them was the English punk band Creeper, who kept the audience entertained until the main act took the stage.

In December 2017, All Time Low announced they would perform their beloved 2007 album, So Wrong, It’s Right, featuring hits like “Dear Maria, Count Me In” and “Remembering Sunday.” They kicked off the set in true pop-punk style, starting with “This Is How We Do,” but intentionally skipping the crowd favorite “Dear Maria.” Lead singer Alex Gaskarth charmed the buzzing arena, stating, “You look amazing tonight, Manchester.”

Alex and guitarist Jack Barakat reminisced about their first tour in the city, joking about their experience at Manchester’s iconic rock venue, Satan’s Hollow. The audience was left wanting more after the energetic set.

Following a brief intermission, the band re-emerged, now dressed in all black, with a backdrop that had become even more impressive. Their playful demeanour shifted to that of mature, accomplished musicians. They launched into “Last Young Renegade,” and the energy skyrocketed. During “Lost in the Stereo,” blue and white confetti cannons elevated the party atmosphere, as the band engaged playfully with both sides of the audience.

The set included several songs from their earlier albums. During “Weightless,” the arena sang along passionately to the 2009 release. Alex introduced “Kids in the Dark” with a personal touch, saying, “I wrote this song about you. Can you sing it with me?” Newer fans experienced an unforgettable performance, while longtime followers enjoyed a long-awaited nostalgia trip.

The deep connection between the band and fans was evident, as screens displayed heartfelt videos from young adults sharing how All Time Low had positively impacted their lives. In a poignant moment, Alex performed “Therapy” solo, inviting the entire arena to sing along.

The Last Young Renegade set was packed with modern, upbeat tracks like “Dirty Laundry,” showcasing the band’s evolution towards a more contemporary pop sound.

All Time Low closed the night with “Damned If I Do, Damned If I Don’t,” “Hit the Lights,” and, of course, “Dear Maria, Count Me In.” The band remains as punk, talented, and thrilling as they were a decade ago. This unique approach allowed fans of all ages to enjoy a memorable night, and the arena felt alive with energy, eager for more. The band should take pride in this achievement; it was a night to remember.
