The BBC Big Weekend is back, and this year it’s bigger than ever as part of the BBC Biggest Weekend, showcasing music across four different locations in the UK. BBC Big Weekend Swansea will be Radio 1’s main event, featuring some of the biggest names in music regularly played on BBC Radio 1.
Tickets sold out almost instantly, and as the weekend approaches, here’s everything you need to know if you’re lucky enough to have a ticket. Taking place at Singleton Park, this year’s event boasts three stages: the Main Stage, Radio 1’s Other Stage, and the BBC Music Introducing Stage.
On Saturday, May 26th, gates open at 10:30 AM with performances from Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Liam Payne, George Ezra, Bastille, and Wolf Alice, among others. Ed Sheeran is set to open the stage as he’ll later head to Manchester for his own show.
On Sunday, May 27th, gates open at 11:00 AM, featuring a star-studded lineup including Taylor Swift, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan, Florence and the Machine, Demi Lovato, James Bay, and Hailee Steinfeld.
