Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born In The U.S.A.’ Re-release

The Boss’ seventh studio album marked a significant departure as he embraced synthesisers and a more pop-oriented sound, ultimately selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Featuring massive hits like ‘Dancing In The Dark,’ ‘Glory Days,’ ‘I’m On Fire,’ and the title track, it solidified Springsteen’s status as a musical legend.

Scheduled for release on June 4, precisely 40 years after its original debut, the special edition will be available on translucent red vinyl and feature expanded packaging. This includes an exclusive booklet containing archival material from the era, newly crafted liner notes by Springsteen archivist Erik Flannigan, and a four-colour lithograph.

In addition to the re-release, a biopic titled ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ is currently in development, with The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White set to portray Springsteen. Directed by Scott Cooper, the film promises to delve into the musician’s life, with Springsteen actively involved in the project.

Meanwhile, Springsteen has embarked on a UK and European tour, which kicked off this week at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The tour, spanning three months, will culminate in two electrifying nights at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 25 and 27.

During recent performances, Springsteen has delighted fans by delving into his extensive catalogue, treating audiences to rare gems like ‘So Young And In Love’ and ‘If I Was The Priest.’ Notably, he joined forces with Tom Morello to perform ‘Open All Night’ and ‘Sherry Darling’ for the first time on this tour in April.

In addition to his tour, Springsteen has remained active in the music scene, participating in Mark Knopfler’s charity re-recording of ‘Going Home,’ alongside luminaries such as Queen’s Brian May and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood. Moreover, he made a memorable cameo appearance in a recent episode of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and released the comprehensive compilation album ‘Best Of Bruce Springsteen’ in April through Sony Music.
