Danica Bryant Drops Addictive New Single ‘Buzz’ Ahead of Debut Album FEAST

Aotearoa indie-pop firecracker Danica Bryant is back with a punchy new single, ‘Buzz’, the latest taste of her highly anticipated debut album FEAST, set to drop on August 1, 2025. Known for her genre-blending sound and razor-sharp lyrics, Bryant’s newest release fuses driving pop-rock energy with introspective indie-pop finesse, and it’s already turning heads.

Described as “deliciously sweet yet shockingly bitter” by Under The Radar, Danica Bryant is no ordinary songwriter. Her music draws blood, tackling everything from celebrity culture and gender dynamics to mental health and body autonomy. And in ‘Buzz’, she channels that same lyrical edge into a night-out anthem that thrums with anticipation, layered guitars, and a pounding rhythm section.

The single follows the success of last year’s breakout track ‘Acid’, an unapologetically queer single that climbed to #2 on the Hot Aotearoa Singles Chart. With FEAST on the horizon, ‘Buzz’ teases a project that promises not just bangers, but bold, deeply personal storytelling set to bombastic pop production.

Danica Bryant’s career is already stacked with accolades, from Smokefree Rockquest and Play It Strange wins, to mentorship under the legendary Bic Runga, and opening slots for Elton John, Robbie Williams, and Foreigner. Her 2020 debut EP Cider secured her a coveted place at APRA Songhubs, while singles like ‘Heart Eyes’, ‘Libra’, and 2022’s fierce EP Ego Death pushed her further into the spotlight.

As FEAST approaches, Danica Bryant stands poised as one of New Zealand’s most exciting emerging voices in indie pop. Fierce, vulnerable, and completely unfiltered, her music is “all hard guitar and pain-filled howl” (The Hook NZ), with a venomous bite and emotional depth that hits hard and stays with you.
