It’s official, 5 Seconds of Summer are back and stepping into a whole new era. The Aussie alt-rockers have announced their Everyone’s A Star! World Tour, dropping fresh UK and Ireland dates that’ll see them hit some of the country’s biggest arenas, including London’s The O2, Manchester’s Co-Op Live, and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro. And if that wasn’t enough to set the internet on fire, they’ve also released a brand-new single, ‘Telephone Busy’, taken from their upcoming album Everyone’s A Star!, due out 14 November 2025.

The tour kicks off in March 2026, running through Europe before the band cross the Atlantic for a North American leg, wrapping up with a long-awaited homecoming tour across Australia later next year. General tickets go on sale Friday 31 October at 10 am local time, so expect the virtual queues to be pure chaos.

This new era feels like a proper rebirth. Over the last decade, 5SOS have shaken off their “boy-band” tag and grown into one of the most unpredictable and exciting live acts around, and Everyone’s A Star! promises to take that evolution even further. The band describe it as their most ambitious project yet, with influences from N.E.R.D., Gorillaz and The Prodigy, which already tells you this isn’t going to be a recycled pop-punk record.
The new single, ‘Telephone Busy’, gives us a taste of the direction they’re heading, heavier, darker, more experimental, but still packed with the kind of hooks that made fans fall for them in the first place. It follows on from previous releases ‘NOT OK’ and ‘Boyband’, which both marked a confident shift in sound.
For long-time fans, this tour announcement feels like the moment everything’s come full circle. Since forming in Sydney back in 2011, the band, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin — have gone from posting covers online to selling out arenas across the world. With over 10 billion streams, 18 million albums sold and multiple Billboard #1s, they’ve built a career on constant reinvention.

And judging by their secret pop-up show in Los Angeles earlier this year, where they debuted new tracks including ‘No. 1 Obsession’ and ‘Everyone’s A Star!’, the live setlist is going to be wild, mixing brand-new bangers with fan favourites like Youngblood, Teeth, and She’s So Perfect.
With Everyone’s A Star! landing 14 November and the UK tour set for March 2026, now is the time to get ready, and honestly, this era feels like the one that’ll redefine what 5 Seconds of Summer sound like in 2025.
