Ed Sheeran is bringing his record-breaking stadium tour back to New Zealand this summer, launching The Loop Tour right here in Aotearoa. It’s the global kick-off, and fans across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch will be the first in the world to experience the brand-new live show, powered by a next-level production, a setlist stacked with hits and deep cuts, and three standout support acts.
The five-date stadium run starts at Go Media Stadium in Auckland on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 January, before heading to Wellington and Christchurch.
Auckland Ticket holders: With up to 50,000 fans expected each night, planning ahead is essential. Public transport is your best bet, with extra train and bus services running on show nights. Trains from Waitematā (Britomart) to Penrose Station run regularly, and your concert ticket includes free travel on Auckland Transport services. If you’re taking the bus, popular routes like the 74 and 66 will get you close to the venue. Driving is possible, but parking is limited and post-show traffic can be heavy, aim to arrive early or use park-and-ride options. Don’t forget to check Auckland Transport’s event day updates for the latest info.
These are all-ages shows, though anyone aged 14 and under will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tickets are on sale via frontiertouring.com/edsheeran, and with Sheeran’s history of sell-outs in NZ, they won’t last long.
Joining Ed on stage is an all-star support line-up:
- Vance Joy, the beloved Australian singer-songwriter behind Riptide and Missing Piece, returns to NZ stadiums with new music and his signature festival energy.
- Mia Wray, the Melbourne powerhouse whose breakout album hi, it’s nice to meet me turned heads across Australia and the UK.
- BIIRD, a genre-defying, all-female Irish trad collective exclusive to NZ and Perth, fuse folk instruments with synths and stage-shaking energy.
While the final setlist for NZ hasn’t been confirmed, fans have been closely following Sheeran’s most recent Ipswich warm-up show, which likely gives the clearest picture of what’s to come. Based on that, here’s the expected lineup of tracks:

The Loop Tour is named after the signature live-looping technique that helped launch Ed Sheeran onto the global stage. This year’s show takes that concept further than ever, blending stripped-back moments with widescreen visuals and fresh material from Play. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, this will be one of the biggest and most immersive live shows of 2026.
Final tickets are still available via frontiertouring.com/edsheeran — but not for long.
