There’s opening for a band you admire… and then there’s opening for the band that basically taught you how to do it.

Haiden Henderson has been announced as special guest on the UK leg of 5 Seconds of Summer’s EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour, joining the multiplatinum alt-rock heavyweights for five arena dates from 30th March to 5th April, including a stop at London’s The O2.

The run kicks off at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro before heading to Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, The O2 in London, Manchester’s Co-op Live and wrapping in Cardiff at Utilita Arena. For an artist who was playing sold-out club rooms this time last year, it’s a significant jump in scale.

The announcement follows a breakthrough period for Haiden. His 2025 tension EP helped sharpen his sound into something bigger and more self-assured, blending high-gloss pop hooks with a streak of gritty DIY rock. The project, featuring tracks like “lovesucker”, “lips” and “sweat”, built on earlier releases including Good GriefChoke on My Heart and lover boy, steadily growing a fanbase that’s become known as “Haider Nation”.

Last year’s Tension Tour saw him headline across North America, the UK and Europe, including a sold-out show at The Garage in London. Now, he’s stepping onto arena stages alongside a band whose influence runs deep in his own story.

Haiden shared that he learned how to sing watching 5 Seconds of Summer’s early YouTube covers, picked up guitar after seeing them live and studied songwriting by looping their albums. Opening this tour, he says, feels “destined”.

Since emerging in 2021, Haiden has quietly amassed over 100 million streams and earned praise from outlets including Rolling Stone and PAPER Magazine, while building a reputation for emotionally direct songwriting and high-energy live performances. Supporting 5 Seconds of Summer across major UK arenas marks a clear next chapter, one that shifts his music from packed club rooms into full-scale arena singalongs.

If tension proved he could command a headline crowd, this tour is about proving he can hold his own on the biggest stages in the country.
