MJ Lenderman is back on tour, and he’s bringing the emotional gut-punch of Manning Fireworks to stages across the UK and Europe.

The North Carolina songwriter, known for his raw lyricism and broken-in Americana fuzz, kicks things off this Thursday (May 29) in Bristol — the first date in a packed, mostly sold-out UK run. It all leads to his biggest solo UK show to date: London’s Roundhouse on 15 August.

Along the way, he’s hitting major festivals (Green Man, Øya, Way Out West) and slipping in intimate headline shows in Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague and more.

A Tour Backed by a Beloved Record

MJ Lenderman’s latest album, Manning Fireworks, has become a quiet juggernaut. It’s full of disarmingly honest storytelling, beer-stained metaphors, and the kind of songwriting that sounds like it fell out of someone’s back pocket, in the best way.

While his work with Wednesday sharpened his edge, Manning Fireworks pulls it all together. The songs feel both loose and laser-focused, weaving heartbreak, humour, and those odd little details that make you flinch because they’re way too real.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss This

MJ’s not a showy performer, and that’s exactly the magic. His gigs feel like flipping through a dog-eared notebook someone accidentally left on stage. One minute you’re laughing, the next you’re rethinking every decision you made in your 20s.

If you like your live shows with guitar fuzz, emotional chaos, and no emotional filter, this tour is the one. Just don’t wait too long, tickets are vanishing.
