Alongside the release of new single ‘Vendetta’ and the announcement of their forthcoming album BLISS — out June 26 on V2 Records — Temples have confirmed their live return with a run of headline UK dates this November, a summer festival appearance and an extensive US and European tour.
The UK dates are intimate by design — Strange Brew in Bristol on November 9, London’s Scala on November 11, The White Hotel in Manchester on November 13 and King Tuts in Glasgow on November 14. These are small, sweaty, proper venues for a band whose new material is built for exactly that kind of room. If you’ve seen Temples live before you’ll know they translate brilliantly to a stage. If you haven’t, this is a very good moment to find out.
Before the headline run they’ll also appear at Latitude Festival in Suffolk on July 25, where ‘Vendetta’ and ‘Jet Stream Heart’ will get their first major festival outings. Full US and European dates are also confirmed and available at the link below.
BLISS being the record it apparently is — dancefloor-ready, euphoric and built on instinct — a live show in support of it feels like a genuinely exciting prospect. Tickets are available now.
