Zayn Cancels the Majority of his KONNAKOL Tour Dates

Zayn has cancelled the majority of his KONNAKOL Tour dates after being hospitalised, with the 31-date global run now reduced to nine shows. The rescheduled tour begins 23rd May at London's The O2.

Zayn has never done anything quite like this before. An artist who broke records with his debut solo album, spent years building a devoted fanbase through music alone, and only last year embarked on his first-ever solo tour β€” had been set for a 31-date global run that felt like a genuine step change. The KONNAKOL Tour, produced by Live Nation, was due to kick off on 12th May at Manchester’s AO Arena and represented the largest live undertaking of his career.

That plan has now changed significantly. Zayn has cancelled his upcoming US tour dates and several UK arena shows after it emerged he had recently been admitted to hospital. The former One Direction singer issued a statement on Instagram telling fans he had to take “another look” at his schedule, saying he was working to be “better and stronger than before” but would need to reduce the number of shows on the tour. He has not specified a cause for the cancellations, though he has previously pulled dates over extreme anxiety.

A photo of Zayn in hospital was shared on an official updates page two weeks ago. A week later, a comment attributed to him described it as a “long week” and said he was still unexpectedly recovering. His most recent Instagram post confirmed the cancellations, thanking fans for their prayers and well-wishes. “I’ve felt it and it’s meant the world,” he said. “I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before.”

The rescheduled tour will now begin on 23rd May and covers just nine dates. Zayn will play his first UK show at London’s The O2 on 23rd May, followed by Manchester’s AO Arena on 24th May. Shows in Glasgow, Birmingham and Dublin have been cancelled. Latin American dates β€” including Mexico City, SΓ£o Paulo, Argentina, Chile and Peru β€” remain on the schedule, with the tour still set to close out on 20th November in Miami. Customers who booked via Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds for cancelled shows, and tickets to the original Manchester date will remain valid for the new one.

The tour arrives alongside KONNAKOL, his fifth studio album via Mercury Records and Island Records UK. It’s his most culturally inspired project to date, drawing heavily on his heritage β€” the snow leopard on the album artwork, a profound symbol in South Asia, ties back to imagery fans first spotted at the end of each Las Vegas residency show. That residency, his first ever, left critics and fans buzzing and gave him a platform to debut and tease material from the record before its release.

New single ‘Die For Me’ marks his return to pop and R&B territory, accompanied by a video directed by Frank Borin and Ivanna Borin and conceptualised by Zayn himself. It follows last year’s ‘Eyes Closed’ with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo β€” a collaboration that debuted at number 10 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and topped iTunes in over 40 countries β€” and the critically acclaimed Room Under the Stairs before it.

For an artist who became the first UK male solo artist to simultaneously chart at number one on both the UK and US album charts in the same week β€” with Mind of Mine back in 2016 β€” what he’s building in 2026 still feels significant, even if the path there has shifted. Remaining tickets are on sale now.
