The Welsh metal band truly electrified the final day of the festival. Their performance was a thrilling mix of classic tracks and newer songs from their latest album, “Big Tings.” Frontman Benji Webbe wowed the crowd by inviting Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix on stage to perform their single “Warning.” Between songs, Benji encouraged audience participation, leading the crowd in the “Newport Helicopter,” where attendees removed their shirts and swung them overhead. Lead singer Brendon Urie, with his impressive energy, flawless vocal range, and dynamic stage presence, captivated the crowd. He took a moment to reflect on his last visit to Leeds Festival in 2006, when a bottle thrown from the crowd knocked him out. After regaining consciousness, he rallied his bandmates to finish their set, emphasizing, “If you get knocked down, you have to pick yourself back up again and continue on.”
The band performed hits spanning all six albums, including a powerful rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which Brendon called one of his favourite songs of all time.
