Wellington’s iconic music festival, Jim Beam Homegrown, is gearing up for its biggest event yet, expanding to two days of unforgettable live music in 2025. Set against the stunning backdrop of Wellington’s waterfront, this celebration of Kiwi music will take place on March 14 and 15, 2025. As the festival marks its 18th birthday, it’s bringing together a mix of beloved returning acts and fresh new faces, with 30% of the lineup making their Homegrown debut.

Day 1: March 14 – The Park Stage at Waitangi Park

Kicking off on Friday evening, Jim Beam Homegrown will feature performances on the Park Stage at Waitangi Park. Headlining the night is the genre-blending Synthony, an electrifying fusion of live orchestral music with pulsating electronic beats. Fans will also be treated to performances by New Zealand stars such as Stan Walker, Lee Mvtthews, Che-Fu & The Kratez + King Kapisi, and rising talents The Katayanagi Twins. This opening night promises an exciting mix of soul, beats, and electronic music, setting the tone for an epic weekend.

Day 2: March 15 – Five Stages Across Wellington’s Waterfront

On Saturday, the festival will fully come to life, with all five stages showcasing a diverse range of genres including rock, reggae, hip-hop, and electronic music. Headlining the day is none other than Shapeshifter, renowned for their incredible live performances. They’ll be joined by an impressive roster of New Zealand’s top talent, including Sir Dave Dobbyn, Drax Project, Sons of Zion, Kaylee Bell, and Nesian Mystik. Rock fans can expect high-energy performances from Elemeno P, Alien Weaponry, and the debuting Polynesian heavy metal band, Shepherds Reign. For reggae lovers, Katchafire and The Black Seeds will bring their signature chill vibes, while hip-hop enthusiasts can look forward to Kings, SWIDT, and more.

With 30% of the lineup making their first appearance at Jim Beam Homegrown, fans will be introduced to some of Aotearoa’s rising stars. Keep an eye out for performances from Shepherds Reign, Sub-Tribe, Halftime Oranges, and Vana, alongside established favourites like Louis Baker, P-Money, Mitch James, Aaradhna, and Troy Kingi & The Cactus Handshake.
