Max Allais Drops Reflective New Track ‘Yesterday’ Ahead of Tour

Kiwi singer-songwriter Max Allais has released a heartfelt new single, ‘Yesterday,’ showcasing his songwriting talent with its raw, acoustic sound and poignant lyrics. The track, written as Max approached his 23rd birthday, reflects on the fear of getting older, nostalgia for youth, and the uncertainty of change. Co-written with Jamie Muscat and produced alongside Xavier Scanu in Sydney, ‘Yesterday’ strips things back to allow Max’s delicate vocals to shine through.

Max describes the song as “simple and intimate,” aiming to capture the emotions he felt while writing it. ‘Yesterday’ follows his hit single ‘Lost In Love,’ which has seen major radio airplay across New Zealand, including on The Edge, ZM, and More FM.

Max is now gearing up for the Springboard: Seconds To Midnight Tour, a nationwide tour across New Zealand with fellow artists Cassie Henderson and Frankie Venter. Kicking off November 13 in Rotorua, the tour will visit cities from Auckland to Invercargill before wrapping up in Nelson on November 30.

With over 3 million TikTok followers, Max Allais is a fast-rising star to watch, and his new track is just a taste of what’s to come.
