Look, we’ve seen enough legacy/Gen Z pairings go awkwardly wrong to be wary of collab hype, but this? This might just be the rare case where it actually slaps.

Aerosmith (yes, that Aerosmith) have teamed up with none other than Yungblud for a surprise collaborative EP, One More Time, out November 21 via Capitol Records. And yes, it’s their first proper new music in over 12 years, which is wild enough, but what’s even more surprising is that it sounds fresh.
The lead single “My Only Angel” dropped today, and it’s not just good, it’s theatrical, raw, and somehow doesn’t feel like either act is trying too hard to fit the other’s vibe. “My Only Angel” opens with Tyler and Yungblud trading lines right from the start, both raw, vulnerable, and completely locked into the mood. There’s no flashy build-up, no dramatic reveal, just two voices woven into each other over delay-soaked guitar and soft, unsteady piano. It’s slow-burning and beautifully messy, with Joe Perry’s restrained, emotional solo adding just enough bite to keep you leaning in. It doesn’t explode, it aches.
“Making music with Yungblud has been like plugging into pure electricity,” says Steven Tyler.
“These new songs have teeth,” adds Joe Perry.
We believe them.
The full EP will feature four new co-written tracks, plus a 2025 mix of “Back in the Saddle”, a nod to Aerosmith’s roots, now with added grit. Titled One More Time, the project was produced by Matt Schwartz and also features longtime Aerosmith collaborator Matt Sorum (ex-Guns N’ Roses) on drums. And because why not go full fashion rockstar, the artwork was designed exclusively by Chrome Hearts.

This whole thing apparently started from one planned studio feature, but the vibe was so good it turned into five songs. And if the rest of the EP hits like My Only Angel, we might be in for a mini rock renaissance. It’s unfiltered, a little messy, but full of heart, which, let’s be honest, is what the genre needs.
Yungblud sounds totally at home alongside Tyler, and it’s not in a cosplay way. There’s real vocal chemistry here, that rare thing when a collab feels earned, not arranged.
Also worth noting: they’ve already taken this thing live. The two acts hit the MTV VMAs earlier this month with a joint performance that had every rock dad and every Yungblud fan on TikTok quietly losing their minds.
The One More Time tracklist:
- My Only Angel
- Problems
- Wild Woman
- A Thousand Days
- Back in the Saddle (2025 Mix)
We’re not calling it a comeback, but we’re definitely calling it a moment.
Between Yungblud’s raw, untamed energy and Aerosmith’s hall-of-fame swagger, One More Time feels like a shot of adrenaline to a genre that desperately needed one.
Out November 21, pre-order here now.
