Chase & Status Bring the Heat to All Points East 2025

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. We planted ourselves middle-back for Chase & Status, and the duo proved once again why they’re festival kings. Pyro, flawless transitions, and a setlist that flowed like a perfectly controlled storm.

Chase and Status on stage at All Points East

Saturday at Victoria Park might have started on the chilly side, but the grey skies soon gave way to one of the most electric nights at All Points East 2025. By mid-afternoon, the atmosphere was buzzing, the dust rising into the air only adding to the raw, festival grit of the day. Nothing was stopping the crowds from turning up for Sammy Virji, Dimension, and of course… the legendary Chase & Status live.

We kicked things off at the intimate X Stage with Mozey at 5pm. Depending on where you stood, the sound sometimes drifted, but that didn’t stop the crowd bouncing. A few extra speakers wouldn’t have gone amiss, but honestly, the vibes carried us through, and the bass still hit hard enough to get bodies moving.

Then it was time for Dimension over at East Stage. The man knows how to own a moment, sharp suit, constant cig in hand, and a set that flung us straight into another world. Tracks like Ready to Fly and DJ Turn It Up went off, with the crowd singing back every drop.

By now, the whole festival had settled into its rhythm. Sequins, sports jerseys, cargos and crop tops made for a sea of clashing styles, all unified by the beat. Friends perched on shoulders, cans in hand, arms swaying as basslines shook through the park. Even when the sound dipped in spots, the energy was untouchable, people were there for the collective buzz as much as the music itself. At moments it felt like a mini Notting Hill Carnival, but with heavier drops and more lasers.

The only snag? The trek between stages. Once Dimension wrapped, we had to hustle all the way across the park for Joy Orbison. Luckily, festival walking just feels different when the energy is high and you’re buzzing off the music. Plus, a pit stop at the Cupra North Stage gave us an unexpected bonus boogie to Sherelle B2B Clipz. (Also, let it be known: I clocked at least four ‘Victory Laps’ throughout the night. Not mad about it.)

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. We planted ourselves middle-back for Chase & Status, and the duo proved once again why they’re festival kings. Pyro, flawless transitions, and a setlist that flowed like a perfectly controlled storm. The night also saw star collaborator Tom Grennan make a surprise East London appearance for their classic anthem All Goes Wrong, sending the crowd into chaos, and the first bass drop of Program hit, the crowd erupted, flares went up, strangers hugged, and it felt like the park itself was shaking. By the halfway mark, my once-white trainers had turned brown from the dust, but honestly, at that point I was just another sandman in a crowd of thousands, lost in the moment.

And when the night closed with badadum and Backbone, there was no question: this was an epic, high-energy celebration of electronic music at Victoria Park.
