Her commanding voice captivated everyone in the room. It’s easy to see her headlining sold-out shows in the near future, and I’m excited to be there when it happens.
Next up was Maisie Peters, who graced the stage accompanied only by a pianist and her guitar. Proving that simplicity is key, Maisie exceeded all expectations. Her mesmerising voice had the audience entranced, and when she announced her final song, there was a collective sigh of disappointment. It’s clear she has a bright future ahead, and I can’t wait to see where her career takes her.
By the time Tom Walker took to the stage, the venue was buzzing with anticipation. Kicking off the night with his hit “Fly Away With Me”, the audience erupted into cheers and applause. It was impossible not to sing along—something even the photographers found themselves doing while trying to capture the magic of the show. Tom Walker’s distinctive voice is a talent that leaves you in awe every time.
Throughout the performance, Walker took the time to interact with the audience, sharing personal stories behind some of his biggest hits. From reminiscing about living with 12 musicians during “Blessings” to telling the story of an argument with his girlfriend that led to writing “How Can You Sleep at Night” as an apology, these anecdotes made the night feel personal and intimate, as if Walker was talking to old friends. The crowd responded with cheers, banter, and unwavering support.
Not a single song went by without the audience singing every word, filling the venue with love and appreciation for Walker. His gratitude was clear, as he frequently thanked everyone for supporting him. With a successful festival season behind him, it’s easy to see why Tom Walker’s fanbase is growing by the day. I have no doubt his next tour will sell out even larger venues, as he continues to deliver some of the most unforgettable performances of the year.
