Twin Atlantic, fresh off electrifying performances in their hometown of Glasgow, are back with a new single called ‘Sorry’. This heartfelt track is the latest peek into their upcoming album, Meltdown, set to digitally drop on August 9th and hit physical formats on September 13th via their own label, Staple Diet Records.
Known for their guitar-heavy hits, the alternative rock band surprises fans with ‘Sorry’, a song that tugs at the heartstrings and ignites a lighter-waving anthem vibe. Lead singer Sam McTrusty shared that songwriting has always been his therapy, and ‘Sorry’ is a prime example of this emotional journey. Produced by McTrusty and bassist Ross McNae and mixed by Romesh Dodangoda, Meltdown promises to be a return to form for the band, blending infectious pop-rock with heartfelt emotions.
Reflecting on their recording process, Sam expressed pride in their work, emphasising the freedom they had to explore their sound. Meltdown, with its mix of nostalgia and forward-looking energy, encapsulates Twin Atlantic’s evolution as a band.
To celebrate the album’s release, Twin Atlantic will embark on a UK tour starting November 7th in Newcastle and culminating in Edinburgh on November 24th. With their eighth studio album on the horizon, Twin Atlantic continues to prove themselves as stalwarts in the music scene, showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
