Pop powerhouse Sam Smith has announced a special run of ten intimate live shows across two exclusive UK residencies this September.
The brief run kicks off with two nights at Manchester’s historic Albert Hall before heading to the capital for an expansive eight-night takeover of the majestic London Coliseum. The live announcement lands alongside news of Smith’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, Hazel Eyes, scheduled to arrive on 21 August 2026 via Capitol Records UK.
The upcoming residency shows follow intimate warm-up gigs at historic global venues like Brooklyn’s Warsaw and San Francisco’s Castro Theatre. These early shows have featured surprise guest appearances from stars like Hozier, Ed Sheeran, and Feist, offering fans a firsthand look at the diverse sonic palette of the new material.
According to Smith, Hazel Eyes has been crafted over three years alongside a close-knit group of friends, heavily drawing inspiration from their new home city of New York. Recorded in part at the iconic Electric Lady Studios, the 12-track album moves away from traditional chart-pop into an eclectic mix of baroque pop, British folk, left-field R&B, and country.
Fans can get a first taste of the record with the brand-new lead single ‘My Guy’, an emotional, New York-inspired love letter tracking themes of vulnerability and creative freedom.
“This is a song that I feel I have been waiting a lifetime to write and sing,” Smith says of the track. “I tried to capture the glow and the warmth of love in this one.”
Tickets are expected to be in high demand for these theatre-sized performances, which mark Smith’s first major UK dates since their showstopping live album BBC Proms At The Royal Albert Hall last June.
