Few artists in drum and bass have had a run quite like LUUDE’s over the past few years. Down Under and Big City Life arrived back to back, sold millions of copies, earned multi-platinum certifications around the world, and announced an artist with a knack for making dance music that reaches well beyond the usual audience. The Bru-C collaboration TMO broke the UK Top 50. Oh My, sampling Moby, hit the UK Top 100. One of the highest-selling artists in drum and bass across the last decade is not a claim many can make — LUUDE can.
Now he’s heading back to Aotearoa. Fresh from a triumphant homecoming tour in Australia and a string of major international festival and headline dates, LUUDE brings his live show to Auckland’s Shed 10 on Friday 10th July and Wellington’s Shed 6 on Saturday 11th July. Two shows, two cities, and an artist right in the middle of a genuine global breakout moment.
The accolades speak for themselves — an ARIA Award for Best Dance Release, a nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Award, Best International Artist at the 2022 Drum and Bass Awards, three BBC Radio 1 Hottest Records, and certifications spanning 9x Platinum, 2x Gold and 1x Silver. Alongside the recording achievements, he’s launched his own imprint No Instruction as a platform for underground artists and new talent, adding another dimension to what he’s building.
