Diplo has never been an artist who stays in one lane, and Two Steppin’ β his new single with rising country star Adrien Nunez, out today via Atlantic Outpost β is another reminder of why that restlessness keeps producing results. Premiered during Diplo’s closing set at Stagecoach to a crowd of over 65,000, the track blends country energy with dancefloor instinct in the way only someone who has spent years moving between both worlds can pull off.
“I’ve always loved music that makes people want to move,” says Nunez, “and blending that country energy with dance music felt like the perfect way to create something wild, upbeat and made for a good time.” Diplo is equally straightforward about the appeal: “Adrien and I knew we made something special with this track. It was only right that we debuted it at Stagecoach β it’s the biggest party in country music, there’s no place like it.”
It marks Diplo’s first country release since Ashes with Bailey Zimmerman in 2025, and follows a run of country projects β two full-length albums and a mixtape under his Thomas Wesley alias β that have seen him collaborate with Sturgill Simpson, Thomas Rhett, Sierra Ferrell, Maren Morris and others. His single Heartless with Morgan Wallen has reached RIAA Diamond certification, which tells you everything about how well his crossover instincts have landed.

Stagecoach itself was only part of a remarkable recent stretch. In April, Diplo returned to the Coachella main stage with Major Lazer for a career-spanning set to over 80,000 fans. In March, he executive produced BTS’ comeback album ARIRANG alongside longtime collaborator Pdogg, personally producing five tracks β the most producer credits of anyone on the project. He also has a 2026-2027 season of Diplo’s Run Club underway β a 5K through urban centres followed by a mini music festival β across nine American cities.
Two Steppin’ is out now. His live schedule runs through the rest of the year across Las Vegas, Ibiza and beyond.
