Australian house DJ and producer Dom Dolla has confirmed a standalone headline show at Auckland Domain, and organisers are already calling it the biggest electronic music event New Zealand has ever staged. The one-off production is scheduled for Saturday 6 February 2027, and it marks the first time Dom Dolla has built an entire show of his own on New Zealand soil, rather than appearing as part of a festival bill.
Kiwi fans have had a taste of what to expect already. Dom Dolla played a well-received set at Electric Avenue in Christchurch back in February 2026, and by all accounts it left plenty of people wanting more. This time, rather than sharing a stage with a packed festival lineup, he’ll have the whole night… and one of the country’s most historic outdoor venues to himself.

The scale of the production is the real story here. Reports suggest the Auckland Domain show will borrow elements from the stadium-sized set he’s currently rolling out at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, where he’s due to play alongside Green Velvet, Torren Foot, and RONA b2b DJ JNETT. If even part of that production travels across the Tasman, Auckland crowds could be in for something considerably more ambitious than the usual festival tent slot.
Speaking about the announcement, Dom Dolla said the New Zealand show had “been a long time in the making” and that he was “excited to be heading to Auckland Domain for one night only.”
Registrations for first-access tickets are open now, ahead of a general on-sale expected in the coming weeks. Given how quickly his shows tend to sell in this part of the world, anyone hoping to be there in February 2027 would do well to get on the list sooner rather than later.
Whatever the final numbers turn out to be, the ambition behind the Dom Dolla Auckland Domain show says a lot about how far dance music has come as a mainstream drawcard in New Zealand, from festival support slots to headline stadium productions in the space of a few short years.
