Things kicked off on Monday 29 September with Olivia Dean, and new sets are dropping every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12pm, live on Rickie, Melvin and Charlie’s Radio 1 show. So far, performances have included Conan Gray, mgk, Robbie Williams, and PinkPantheress, with huge names like Reneé Rapp, Demi Lovato, Lewis Capaldi and Florence + The Machine still to come.

This year also features the debut of the Radio 1 Anthems Live Lounge, tied to the launch of Radio 1’s new DAB+ station. That slot went to none other than Robbie Williams, who delivered a special set on Friday 10 October.

Reneé Rapp, who’s set to perform on Friday 17 October, said: “I’m really excited. I love being in the UK and I love when I get to sing songs that aren’t my own, to be honest it’s a fun switch up!”

In total, the month includes performances from:

There’s also a special Live Lounge Late from Lewis Capaldi, airing Monday 20 October as part of Radio 1’s New Music Show with Jack Saunders, featuring three extra tracks just for the occasion.

Rickie, Melvin and Charlie called it one of the most exciting moments of the year: “Artists stripping things back, surprising us with covers you’d never expect, and creating those unforgettable moments that only the Live Lounge can bring.”

Head of Radio 1, Aled Haydn Jones, added: “The magic of the Live Lounge is in its intimacy… stripped-back performances that let fans experience their favourite artists like they’ve never heard them before.”

Over the years, the Live Lounge has become a serious rite of passage for artists. Previous sessions from Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, and Miley Cyrus have racked up tens of millions of views, and this year’s line-up is already delivering more of those standout moments.

All performances air live on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Sounds, and are available to stream on BBC iPlayer and Radio 1’s YouTube after broadcast.

Whether it’s hearing Lewis Capaldi cover someone unexpected, or catching Florence strip things back with just a piano, 2025’s Live Lounge Month is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent memory.
