Big Truck have announced their biggest headline tour to date: a seven-date UK run in February 2027, opening in Cardiff on 11 February and closing with a night at London’s newly relaunched Barfly on 18 February.

The tour follows the release of the band’s debut album, Midday at the Middleway, out now via Marshall Records after landing at the end of August. It’s picked up strong reviews since. NME called it ‘a fully-formed and considered debut that contains flourishes of The Cure, The Smiths, Pixies and The War On Drugs,’ while Clash described it as ‘a true emotional and existential tour de force, powerful and poignant in equal measure.’

Big Truck brings together Laurie Vincent, also of SOFT PLAY, with Sam Coppins on drums, Asa Thallon on guitar and Justin Myles on keys. The album ranges wide, from indie-pop hooks that recall The Cure or The Smiths to the widescreen atmospherics of The War On Drugs or Sam Fender. Its focus track, ‘Surf the Suffering’, got its first radio play from 6Music’s Huw Stephens, and the band have since released a live video of the song filmed at their homecoming show at Tunbridge Wells Forum.

The band came together somewhat by accident. Vincent and Coppins crossed paths in the Tunbridge Wells music scene years ago and once talked about starting a band that never happened; a chance reconnection in early 2025 changed that, with Coppins bringing in guitarist Asa Thallon and, later, keyboardist Justin Myles. The album itself came together fast, recorded in just four days at Marshall Studio.

Vincent is looking forward to getting the record on the road properly: ‘Seeing you all sing, dance and even cry at the instore tour has just got us even more excited to get out and play our first full headline tour! We can’t wait to play this album for you all in February. All aboard!’

Tickets for all seven dates are on sale now.
