Stadium season just got a serious upgrade. Foo Fighters have announced their Australia & New Zealand Take Cover Stadium Tour, returning to our side of the world in November 2026 before heading to New Zealand in January 2027.

Presented by Frontier Touring, the nine-date run will see the band play Brisbane, Townsville, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide this November, followed by Christchurch and Auckland in January, before wrapping in Perth.

For Aotearoa, there’s a notable first. The band will be the first international act to play the new One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch on 19 January 2027. The venue is due for completion in April 2026, and it’s a fitting opening chapter for a city with a long-standing love for big rock shows. From there, they head north to Western Springs Stadium in Auckland on 22 January, a venue that has hosted its fair share of memorable nights over the years.

Live, Foo Fighters have built a reputation on consistency as much as scale. Reviews from previous tours have highlighted their near three-hour sets and career-spanning setlists, anchored by Dave Grohl’s unmistakable stage presence. It’s the kind of show that balances stadium production with genuine connection, something the band have maintained across decades of touring.

Commercially, the numbers back it up. Foo Fighters have sold more than 1.8 million records in Australia alone and have achieved nine #1 albums there, more than in any other territory. With demand expected to be high across all nine dates, early ticket planning might be wise.

Another standout detail is the support line-up. The band have personally selected 16 rising acts from across Australia and New Zealand, offering a strong local presence in every city.

In Christchurch, Wellington’s Dartz and Dunedin’s Seek Help! will join the bill. Auckland features local favourites Dick Move and Ringlets. Across Australia, supports include The Belair Lip Bombs, C.O.F.F.I.N and Southern River Band among others.

Presales begin Friday 20 February 2026 via Telstra Plus (AU) and Spark (NZ), with Frontier Members able to access tickets from Monday 23 February. General public sales open Wednesday 25 February 2026, with staggered times depending on the city. All shows are licensed and all ages.

The current Foo Fighters line-up is Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, Rami Jaffee and Ilan Rubin.

Nine stadiums across two countries. A new venue debut in Christchurch. And a band that continues to show up for this part of the world in a big way.
