Freya Ridings has announced a massive UK and European tour for autumn 2026, in support of her forthcoming third album Mother of Pearl, out May 29 on BMG. The run includes some of the most beautiful venues in the country β Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on September 30 and London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 5 among the highlights β before heading across Europe through October. Tickets go on general sale Friday April 17 at 10am, with album pre-order access to a presale opening Wednesday April 15.
If you’ve been following Ridings since her 2017 breakthrough, you’ll already know what she’s capable of. ‘Lost Without You’ has been streamed close to half a billion times on Spotify alone β a number that still feels slightly staggering for a song that arrived with no fanfare and simply connected, immediately and deeply, with an enormous number of people. Both her self-titled 2019 debut and 2023’s Blood Orange landed in the UK Album Charts Top 10, earned her a BRIT nomination for Best Female Solo Artist, and sent her around the world on increasingly significant tours.
Mother of Pearl sounds like a different chapter entirely. By her own account Ridings has had to reach down into reserves she didn’t know she had β and what she’s found there is anger, wisdom and a sense of womanhood that feels urgent and timely. “Getting to create, sing and play these songs and have them exist in the real world, that feels like winning to me,” she says. That’s the kind of quote that makes you want to hear the album immediately.
The tour takes in Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny and a string of UK cities before the Royal Albert Hall date, then continues through Brussels, Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Munich, Vienna, Zurich and Utrecht. It is, by some distance, her biggest headline run to date.
