Belfast rap trio Kneecap are heading back to Aotearoa, with two arena shows locked in for February 2027 as part of their ‘Fenian’ World Tour, named after the album they released in May this year. They’ll play Auckland’s Spark Arena on 9 February and Wellington’s TSB Arena on 10 February.
It’s a quick turnaround from their last visit. Kneecap toured New Zealand and Australia in 2025, and a free pop-up show at Melbourne’s Federation Square during that run pulled a crowd of around 10,000 people, a fair indicator of how much noise this band can make outside a ticketed venue. Announcing the return, the trio said:
‘Aotearoa we are coming… one of our favourite places on earth… we are buzzing to get back.’
Tickets went on sale earlier this month, with an MG Live and artist presale opening on 7 September and general sale following on 9 September, both at 10am. A dollar from every ticket sold is going to Manaaki Rangatahi, a youth homelessness collective, continuing a pattern of the band tying their tours to causes on the ground wherever they play. No Australian dates have been confirmed for 2027 yet, so for now this looks like a New Zealand-only run.
Kneecap have built their reputation on a live show that’s as chaotic as it is political, rapping largely in Irish alongside English, and NZ audiences have shown they’re more than up for it. Two arena nights this time round, rather than one, suggests the appetite hasn’t cooled off since 2025.
