Lizzy McAlpine is coming to Aotearoa for the first time. The American singer-songwriter has confirmed a single New Zealand date at Auckland’s Te Paepae Theatre on 14 February 2027, the closing stop on a six-date Australia and New Zealand run she’s calling the Over Country Tour.
The tour is built around McAlpine’s fourth studio album, Angel, which she made with producers Mason Stoops and Taylor Mackall over nearly two years in Los Angeles, following on from 2024’s Older. Fellow singer-songwriter Mila Bea supports across all six shows.
“We’re going over country!!!” McAlpine wrote, announcing the dates. “I am so excited to play these songs live for you. See you so soon.”
Before Auckland, the tour takes in five Australian cities: Adelaide’s Thebarton Theatre on 3 February, Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on 5 February, Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on 7 February, Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on 10 February, and Brisbane’s Riverstage on 12 February.
The Australian and New Zealand dates are presented by Frontier Touring, triple j and Coup De Main. Tickets go on sale in stages: an artist presale opens Tuesday 29 September at 10am local time, a Frontier members’ presale follows at midday the same day via frontiertouring.com/lizzymcalpine, and general sale opens Wednesday 30 September at midday local time. All six shows are licensed for all ages, and fans are advised to buy only through the official sellers listed above.
A first Auckland date has been a long time coming for a New Zealand fanbase that’s followed McAlpine’s rise from a distance, and it lands in good company: the same week has brought a run of northern hemisphere acts adding New Zealand stops to their 2027 routing, a sign touring parties are increasingly treating Auckland as a standard leg rather than an optional add-on.
