Reading & Leeds Just Dropped the Most Iconic Line-up of 2026

Leeds will also make history with Kasabian headlining Thursday night, a first for the festival, and frankly, a very chaotic and very welcome way to kick things off.

Reading & Leeds have just done the absolute most, six headliners, all British or Irish, and a first-ever Thursday night main stage at Leeds? Game officially changed. From 27–30 August 2026, we’re getting Charli XCX, Chase & Status, Dave, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C., and RAYE front and centre. It’s the most UK-centric line-up in 25 years, and it’s not just symbolic, it’s stacked with cultural heavyweights redefining what modern festivals look and sound like.

Let’s start with the pop chaos queen herself. Charli XCX, fresh off her BRAT renaissance, will headline her only UK festival of the year, which already feels iconic. No one’s blending alt-pop, hot girl tech, and late-night debauchery like Charli, and if you think her set’s not going to be a sweaty, euphoric rave for the ages, you’re simply not paying attention.

Then there’s Chase & Status, making their first-ever R&L headline appearance with their only live show of 2026. Expect carnage. These guys basically built the blueprint for UK electronic music, and their set is guaranteed to turn the crowd into one massive mosh pit-meets-rave-meets-religious experience.

Dave’s headline slot is just as personal as it is historic. Off the back of The Boy Who Played the Harp, his Number 1 album, this UK-exclusive performance will be a full-circle, career-defining moment. He’s not just one of the best lyricists of his generation, he’s also got the rare power to silence a crowd with a single bar.

Florence + The Machine’s return is pure goosebumps. Her last R&L appearance was over a decade ago, and she’s coming back with a new album (Everybody Scream) and her only UK festival date of the year. There will be glitter. There will be tears. There will be people in flowing sheer gowns twirling in circles. Manifest it now.

As for Fontaines D.C.? This is the year they go from critics’ darlings to cultural canon. The Dubliners’ brooding, blistering sound has carved out its own space in modern guitar music, and their debut headliner set, also a UK festival exclusive, feels like both a breakthrough and a coronation.

And then there’s RAYE. Where do we even start? Fresh from shattering Brit Award records and quite literally manifestingthis moment (she said it herself on stage in 2024: “I came to Reading & Leeds when I was 16… and look at me now”), she’s headlining with every ounce of the underdog-turned-superstar glow. This is a full-circle story you’ll want to be front row for.

Leeds will also make history with Kasabian headlining Thursday night, a first for the festival, and frankly, a very chaotic and very welcome way to kick things off.

The undercard is already looking spicy too: Skepta, Sombr, Role Model, Jade, Josh Baker, Kneecap, Kettama, Chris Stussy (Reading only), Geese, Skye Newman, Adéla, and Keo, with loads more names to come.
