It’s been eleven years since Seahaven last played the UK, which means next week’s six-date run is a very big deal for anyone who has been following the Torrance, California four-piece across that time. Starting in Nottingham on April 20 and wrapping at London’s Oslo on April 25, the tour takes in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Bristol along the way — an intimate run of some of the best small venues in the country.
The timing couldn’t be better. The band recently released ‘February Flowers’, their second single from their forthcoming self-titled album — out June 5 on Pure Noise Records — and if you haven’t heard it yet, go and do that now. It’s the kind of emotionally upbeat, hook-driven track that sounds even better live. The album itself promises to be their most defining statement to date, drawing on everything Seahaven have built since forming in 2009 and rolling it into one cohesive record. You can read more about the album here.
After the UK run the band head to Europe, before returning to the US for headline dates in June to coincide with the album release. But if you’re in the UK, this month is your moment — and six shows across six cities in six days is a schedule that won’t leave you many excuses.
