Right, if you were a certain kind of teenager in the mid-2000s, you’re going to want to sit down for this one. Thirty Seconds to Mars have announced their “A Beautiful Lie vs This Is War” tour for 2027, and it is exactly what it sounds like — the band performing both albums in full, back to back, on the same night. Every song. One stage. The full experience.
But wait, it gets better. Former guitarist Tomo Miličević will be rejoining Jared and Shannon Leto on stage for the run, marking the first time the classic lineup has performed together in years. If you know, you know how significant that is.
The two albums at the centre of this tour represent the band at their very best. A Beautiful Lie, released in 2005, was the record that turned Thirty Seconds to Mars into a genuinely global force — all cinematic scope and emotional intensity, built around anthems like ‘The Kill’ and ‘From Yesterday’ that a generation of alternative rock fans basically grew up inside. Then came This Is War in 2009, which somehow made them even bigger — ‘Kings and Queens’, ‘Closer to the Edge’, the title track itself — a record that felt enormous when it came out and somehow still does.
Two decades on, both albums hold up in a way that not everything from that era does, which is exactly why this tour feels like such a big deal rather than just a nostalgia exercise. These songs meant something then and they mean something now, and the chance to hear all of them live — with the original lineup — is not one to sleep on.

The 17-date European and UK run kicks off in Lisbon on April 6, 2027, takes in Paris, Milan, Berlin and more before hitting the UK for two shows — The O2 in London on April 28 and Co-op Live in Manchester on April 29 — before wrapping up in Dublin on May 1.
Tickets go on general sale Friday April 17 at 10am local time. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
