Jessie Murph Stuns at Sold-Out Roundhouse Show in London – Full Review

The 1,700-capacity venue was completely sold out. Jessie hit the stage just after 9PM, and her Southern star power was immediate. Dressed in a stunning retro silver dress — evoking the glitz of Marilyn Monroe — and sporting big brunette hair à la Amy Winehouse, she radiated 1960s glamour from the jump.

It’s a buzzing Friday night in Camden, a neighbourhood steeped in music history, where legends like Amy Winehouse and Oasis once graced the stages. Young Londoners in cowboy boots and hats head toward the iconic Roundhouse in Chalk Farm, setting the perfect scene for tonight’s headliner: Alabama-native Jessie Murph.

She opened strong with a punchy trifecta of fan favourites, ‘Gucci Mane’, ‘1965’, and ‘While You’re At It’, instantly locking in the singalong energy. Between songs, Jessie shared candid stories behind her lyrics and connected with the crowd with real warmth. A standout moment came when she introduced her bandmates, playfully putting them on the spot before charmingly riffing off the awkwardness. Their close-knit bond was clear.

At one point, she admitted the challenge of weaving her hip-hop infused bangers into her more vulnerable ballads, but she did it with poise, ease, and fun. Whether lying on the piano for a slow burner or leading the crowd with a bass-heavy anthem, Jessie had the room in the palm of her hand. She even stepped into the front row to sing directly to the die-hard fans who’d likely waited for hours to secure their spot.

Her powerful, husky voice — raw and gritty in all the right places — was on full display during standouts like ‘The Man That Came Back’ and ‘Heroine’. A particularly emotional moment came during ‘Pray’, when dozens of fans held up paper signs with the lyrics, a touching visual that underlined how deeply her music resonates.

Adding to the excitement, Jessie had just dropped a brand-new single, ‘I’m Not There for You’, earlier that day, and the crowd got to hear it live for the first time.

The night closed on an electrifying high with hits like ‘Dirty’, ‘Wild Ones’, and her Dirty-South hip-hop infused tracks ‘Donuts’ and ‘Ur Bill Is Big as Fuck’. She wrapped it all with a soaring rendition of ‘Blue Strips’, transforming the Roundhouse into a full-blown country club, complete with confetti cannons.

Jessie Murph is more than a rising star — she’s already shining. And based on tonight’s performance, her trajectory is only heading one way: up.
