South Arcade aren’t slowing down, and their new single sounds like a rebuttal to anyone who thought they might.
‘F.A.M.O.U.S’, out now via BKM Artists in partnership with Atlantic US, is the UK four-piece’s third single of 2026, following ‘DEADMEAT’ and ‘SUPERMAN’, the latter their biggest streaming debut to date. It keeps the band’s Y2K-flecked, high-energy sound intact, and fans have already heard it live: South Arcade played the track at a run of European festivals over the summer, plus a slot at Japan’s Summer Sonic last month.
The band say the song is a direct response to the noise that comes with a bigger profile. ‘It feels like everyone around you sometimes has an opinion on how you could be “bettering” yourself or what you do,’ they said.
‘People love to chime in and tell you their negative opinions of you but when you strip it back, it always comes from a place of their insecurity. This song is essentially a big F you to outside fickle opinions. This track is basically saying “what have you got to lose” and go for it, if you’ve got something different or an “edge”, make that your strength and leave those types of people behind.’
It’s been that kind of year for South Arcade. Across their catalogue they’ve racked up close to 200 million global streams and more than 277 million YouTube views, built a combined social following past 1.8 million, and passed a million monthly Spotify listeners. On UK radio alone they’ve picked up more than 420 plays on BBC Radio 1, five playlist adds, a Big Weekend appearance and three separate turns as the station’s ‘Hottest Record’. On the road, 2026 has taken them through their first headline tour of Australia, a support slot with 5 Seconds of Summer across UK and European arenas, and festival stages including Download’s main stage, Warped Tour and a run of US dates on the Summer School Tour.
They’re not stopping there either. South Arcade head back out across the UK and Europe in February 2027, closing the run with their biggest headline show yet: a night at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 25 February, which has already sold out.
