Creamfields has named its first headliner for 2027, and it’s a big one. The Prodigy will top the bill at the UK dance festival’s 30th-anniversary edition, marking their first Creamfields appearance in 14 years.
The band, fronted by Liam Howlett and Maxim alongside Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar, last played the festival in 2013. They return on Saturday 28 August 2027, one date inside a festival running Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August at its usual home in Daresbury, Cheshire, where the 2026 edition drew around 80,000 fans. The timing isn’t a coincidence: 2027 also marks 30 years since The Prodigy’s landmark album The Fat of the Land.
Organisers are billing the set as one of the defining moments of the anniversary year and have promised more headliners soon. Howlett kept the pre-show talk characteristically understated:
“Every time we go out for a new tour or big shows like this, we spend a lot of time talking about what is possible.”
For a band with a live reputation built on genuine chaos, that’s not nothing.

For a festival built almost entirely around dance and electronic bookings, landing The Prodigy, a group that’s spent three decades blurring the line between rave and rock, for a 30th-birthday headline slot is exactly the sort of announcement that turns a strong lineup into a moment people actually talk about.
