Day two of CarFest 2026 at the Silverstone Circuit delivered a masterclass in UK pop culture, blending morning fitness madness, emotional family duets, major charity milestones, and headlining performances from British music royalty.
The main stage energy started early as workout legend Mr Motivator bounded out to get the weekend crowd moving. Spanning all ages, the trackside warm-up reached peak hilarity when Mr Motivator personally recruited festival host Chris Evans and Olympic icon Sir Mo Farah to join him on stage to get their limbs stretched.
Later in the afternoon, official partner Chery took over the main stage alongside Evans and Farah for a major weekend highlight. To mark the launch of their charity campaign, the Chinese car manufacturer presented a massive donation check to CarFest’s partner children’s charities. In a classic CarFest moment, the crowd and hosts broke into a group rendition of the “Y.M.C.A.,” adapting the iconic arms-up “M” into Sir Mo’s world-famous Mobot pose.
Singer-songwriter James Morrison took to the main stage in the late afternoon sun, treating festival-goers to his signature raspy, soulful vocals. Ripping through a string of chart-topping hits, the absolute highlight of his set came when he invited his young daughter on stage to perform fan-favorite “Broken Strings.” The heartwarming father-daughter duet drew one of the loudest cheers of the entire day from the Silverstone pit.
As night fell, UK pop icons Sugababes stormed the stage under a cloud of machine-blown bubbles, immediately demanding the production crew light up the audience so they could see the massive crowd. Drenched in vivid red, orange, and purple hues, the trio delivered a flawless, hit-packed set.
During “Ugly,” the background visuals displayed bold red typography reading “Confidence looks good on you,” as fans clapped along to the heavy drum beat. Moving through lush harmonies on “Too Lost in You” and the high-energy “Red Dress,” the group took the crowd way back with nostalgic archive video footage playing behind them.
The highlight of their set came with a double-hit knockout: green lasers and heavy strobes turned the trackside into a full-on rave during “Round Round,” before a loading-animation visual launched into “Push the Button.” Closing out with “About You Now,” the band sang under a backdrop of golden pyrotechnic flames as giant pink inflatable giraffes bounced across the crowd.
Headlining Saturday night, legendary Welsh powerhouse Sir Tom Jones proved why his voice remains an unmatched force in live music.
Opening with “It’s Not Unusual,” the 86-year-old icon took a moment to reminisce about the early days of his career before launching into “What’s New Pussycat?”—a song he reminded fans was written for the Woody Allen film of the same name. Featuring a soulful harmonica intro and retro pop-art visuals, the performance had thousands shouting the famous “Woooo-woooo!” chorus back at the stage.
Moving into a sultry rendition of “Sexbomb” amidst a wall of red lights and heavy stage smoke, Jones paused to take in a crowd member holding up a giant Tom Jones face mask. Before kicking into “You Can Leave Your Hat On”—written after a film producer friend gave him an advance call about the track decades ago—he instructed the crew to bring up the house lights:
“Lyric says ‘turn on the lights, all the lights’—so let’s get those house lights up and get those arms in the air!”
Following a soaring, flamenco-inspired breakdown during “Delilah”—accompanied by soulful harmonica licks and dancing crowd visuals—Jones closed out an extraordinary Saturday night with a fiery cover of “Johnny B. Goode,” proving that true rock and roll never ages.
