Two of the most politically charged, high-octane forces in modern rock are joining forces for a massive co-headline tour down under. Chicago melodic hardcore icons Rise Against have officially announced a monumental run across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, bringing along Bostonβs undisputed Celtic-punk heroes, Dropkick Murphys.
Produced by Live Nation, the extensive tour will see the dual-headliner spectacle tear through stadiums, arenas, and outdoor amphitheaters.
The journey kicks off in New Zealand with two major arena dates in Christchurch and Auckland before heading across the Tasman. The Australian leg features arena stops in Melbourne and Brisbane, a highly anticipated outdoor performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House Forecourt, and a final sunset show at Perth’s stunning Red Hill Auditorium. Alongside their headline circuit, both bands are locked in to appear at the Meltdown festival in Gosford, sharing a massive bill with Australian rock royalty The Living End and Jebediah.
Rise Against head down under at the peak of their creative powers, touring in support of their urgent Loma Vista release, Ricochet. Over a quarter-century into their career, the quartet remains the definitive North Star for artful resistance, balancing blistering melodic hooks with visceral, high-stakes commentary on modern societal decay.
Matching their revolutionary energy step-for-step, Dropkick Murphys return to Australasian shores with their latest anthemic record, For The People. Known for their legendary, sweat-soaked live spectacles, the Boston mainstays specialize in full-throated, arena-sized declarations of solidarity, delivering a defiant rebuttal to divisive modern politics with traditional instrumentation and roaring choruses.
General public tickets are officially on sale now.
