Miley Cyrus has a new album out, and she wants you to feel all of it at once.
‘Bass Persuades’, Cyrus’s tenth studio album, landed today, arriving less than a year and a half after 2025’s ‘Something Beautiful’ and its singles ‘End of the World’ and ‘Easy Lover’. She announced it on Instagram with a black-and-white photo of herself, rose between her teeth, and an explanation of the title that reads as much like a mission statement as an album blurb.
‘Music takes hold of us,’ Cyrus wrote. ‘We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.’
The rollout has leaned into that all-of-it-at-once feeling, with a visual campaign built around a provocative, dance-floor-heavy video that outlets have read as a statement piece as much as a promo clip. It’s a familiar move for Cyrus, who’s spent the last few album cycles treating the visuals as half the argument, not just the decoration.

Cyrus, who now performs under the mononym Miley, will bring the record to the stage with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 16 and 18 October, her first proper live outing since the ‘Something Beautiful’ cycle wrapped. There’s no word yet on whether the Bowl dates are a one-off victory lap or the start of a longer run, but for an artist turning in her tenth album at 33, betting against a bigger tour feels premature.
‘Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true,’ Cyrus wrote alongside the announcement. ‘I sincerely hope you love this album.’ ‘Bass Persuades’ is out now.
