Mercury Prize-nominated indie outfit Sports Team have returned with new single ‘Billy’, out now via Distiller Records alongside a music video. It’s the six-piece’s first release since their acclaimed third studio album landed in May 2025, and it takes the melodious, freewheeling indie-soul of that record and adds a jagged, rock’n’roll edge, making for one of the band’s most enjoyably raucous songs yet.
Sports Team mark the release with an intimate UK tour, tickets on sale now. The run opens in Southampton on 22 September before moving through Oxford, Bristol and Liverpool, taking in Blackpool and Edinburgh, and wrapping with back-to-back closing nights in Newcastle on 29 September and Nottingham on 30 September.
