The final day of CarFest 2026 at the Silverstone Circuit delivered an absolute masterclass in feel-good pop, timeless soul, and massive singalongs. Sun-drenched trackside crowds soaked up every last drop of the festival atmosphere as a stacked Sunday lineup paid tribute to piano legends, Scottish folk-rock anthems, 90s pop soul, and the undisputed king of disco.
The afternoon got underway with Elio Pace’s Billy Joel Songbook, delivering high-energy renditions of “Piano Man” and “Uptown Girl” that set a festive tone across the Silverstone paddock.
UK pop icon Gabrielle followed, bathing the main stage in smooth 90s nostalgia. Dressed in effortlessly sleek festival attire, her velvety vocals carried effortlessly over the crowd on hits like “Out of Reach” and “Give Me a Little More Time.” The crowd linked arms and sang back every word to her signature anthem “Rise,” providing one of the most uplifting moments of the afternoon.
Bringing their trademark acoustic energy and unmistakable Scottish harmonies, The Proclaimers took the stage to a thunderous reception. Ripping through folk-rock classics, brothers Charlie and Craig Reid had thousands of festival-goers stomping their feet on the tarmac.
When the recognisable opening acoustic chords of “(I’m Gonna Be) 500 Miles” echoed across the speakers, the entire arena erupted into a giant, arena-wide singalong that could be heard all the way down the Silverstone pit lane.
As twilight set in, pop legend Rick Astley took command of the main stage, proving once again why he remains one of the UK’s most beloved live performers. Blending self-deprecating wit with smooth vocals, Astley treated fans to classic 80s pop hits alongside modern tracks.
mid-set, Astley surprised the audience by taking a seat behind a full drum kit, showing off his musical versatility before launching into a high-octane medley. He capped off his sensational set with his signature smash hit “Never Gonna Give You Up,” sending the trackside audience into absolute raptures.
Closing out CarFest 2026, music royalty Nile Rodgers & CHIC turned the Silverstone Circuit into the ultimate open-air dancefloor. Sporting his signature white beret and hitmaker Fender Stratocaster, Rodgers led his phenomenal band through a setlist composed entirely of global multi-platinum hits he wrote, produced, or performed on.
From Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” and Diana Ross’s “I’m Coming Out” to David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” the hits came thick and fast. Rodgers paused between tracks to share stories from his decades in the music industry, delighting the crowd with tales of working with Daft Punk before launching into global smash hits “Get Lucky” and “Lose Yourself to Dance”.
The weekend reached its climax during CHIC’s classic “Good Times,” as festival performers, guest hosts, and charity representatives flooded the stage to dance alongside Rodgers. A spectacular fireworks display burst over the Silverstone pit building, bringing three days of motorhead excitement and music magic to a memorable close.
