Bino Bames Isn’t Asking for Permission – “Cocktail Princess” Is His Loud, Lush Arrival

Some artists sneak onto the scene. Bino Bames kicked the door down.

The 19-year-old multi-instrumentalist and DIY powerhouse has officially arrived with his debut single, “Cocktail Princess”, a genre-scrambling, neon-soaked spiral into the messy, beautiful chaos of love and identity. And trust: you won’t forget the name Bino Bames anytime soon.

Who is Bino Bames?

Born Gino James Rayos, Bino is a half-Filipino, half-American creative raised in the shadow of Las Vegas’ casino lights — a city he calls both dazzling and destructive. “If I could survive Vegas, I can survive anything,” he says. That raw, survivalist energy thrums through everything he makes.

From ditching home at 15 to crashing on couches across New York and LA, his journey hasn’t been glamorous, but it has been real. Every scraped knee, every late-night show, every moment of chaos has been poured into his music.

“Cocktail Princess”: A Genre-Warped Fever Dream

Bino’s debut single “Cocktail Princess” is the sound of someone refusing to be boxed in. Part psych-rock lullaby, part grunge-folk slow-burn, it’s a love song for the romantically wrecked. Think Mac Miller meets Velvet Underground on a moonlit Vegas strip.

The track comes hot off the heels of his Good Karma Club live set (curated by Abbie McCarthy at The Lexington), where he introduced himself with messy brilliance. No polish. Just feeling.

🎧 Listen if you like: Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Syd Barrett, Daniel Johnston, King Krule.

The Video? Shot on a VX1000 and Pure Adrenaline

Shot and directed by Bino himself, the Cocktail Princess video is a love letter to his Las Vegas roots, skateparks, motorbikes, and deserted neon streets. Filmed on his old VX1000 camcorder, it oozes raw nostalgia and youth-in-revolt vibes.

It’s giving early Spike Jonze-meets-Zine-era grit. Not polished, but purposeful.

More Than Music: Bino’s Building a Whole Universe

Bino isn’t just a musician, he’s a self-made creative machine. He plays guitar, drums, bass, and keys. He produces his own demos. Designs his own visuals. Directs his own videos. Oh, and he’s already caught the fashion world’s eye, recently dressed by SONGZIO and Undercover for Milan and Paris Fashion Week, and spotted front row at Mark Fast during London Fashion Week 2025.

He’s building a world, not just a sound.

What’s Next? His EP Gathers No Moss

Bino’s debut EP Gathers No Moss is set to drop later this year. Produced with the help of Invisible Men and Darryl Reid (whose credits include Lil Peep and Charli XCX), it’s shaping up to be a lo-fi meets high-concept project that rips through convention.

Expect folk outsider intimacy, alt-rock chaos, and lyrics that sting.

Why You Should Care

In a world of copy-paste playlists, Bino Bames feels like a glitch in the algorithm; unpredictable, emotional, and completely unfiltered. He’s not chasing virality. He’s chasing truth, even if it’s ugly.
