Gracie Abrams has announced her third studio album and if the title is anything to go by, she's done playing it safe.

Gracie Abrams is back β€” and judging by the title alone, she’s not here to play nice. The GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter has announced her third studio album,Β Daughter from Hell, set for release on 17th July via Interscope Records.

The album was written and produced alongside her longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner β€” the same pairing that helped make The Secret of Us the record that turned Abrams from a cult favourite into a genuine superstar. Lead single “Hit the Wall” drops this Friday and if Abrams’ comments at the MET Gala are anything to go by, it’s a statement of intent: “It’s the introduction to this new chapter,” she told Vogue. “It feels embodied and that feels good. I’m excited for it to belong to everyone else.”

Daughter from Hell follows The Secret of Us, which announced Abrams as a serious force in pop β€” hitting number one in the UK, Australia and the Netherlands and debuting at number two on the Billboard 200. Its deluxe track “That’s So True” took on a life of its own, racking up over 1.5 billion streams and crashing into the Billboard Hot 100 top ten. Safe to say the bar is set high.

Beyond music, Abrams is also set to make her acting debut in the upcoming A24 film Please, directed by Halina Reijn β€” because apparently conquering pop wasn’t enough.

Daughter from HellΒ is out 17th July. Pre-save and pre-order are available now.
