Seahaven Return With ‘February Flowers’ — and Their Self-Titled Album Sounds Like Their Best Work Yet

The Torrance, California four-piece return with an emotionally upbeat new single ahead of their self-titled album, out June 5.

Seahaven are back, and if ‘February Flowers’ is anything to go by, the wait for their self-titled album has been very much worth it. The new single — out now alongside a music video — is the second taste of Seahaven, their forthcoming record due June 5 on Pure Noise Records, and it’s the kind of emotionally upbeat, hook-laden track that reminds you exactly why this band built the following they did.

The album’s origin story is a good one. Vocalist and guitarist Kyle Soto wrote the first song, ‘Wedding Bells’, in April 2025, and from there the whole thing came quickly — Soto working out of his home studio, often completing full song outlines in a single night, following what he describes as a creative flow state. “I wasn’t consciously trying to put it all into songs,” he explains, “but I’d sit down with a guitar to see what would happen, and I’d end up writing.” Once those initial ideas were formed, he brought them to the rest of the band — guitarist Cody Christian, bassist Mike DeBartolo and drummer Eric Findlay — and they recorded together at Pale Moon Ranch in Juniper Hills, California, engineered by Alex Estrada. Grammy Award-winning producer Will Yip then mixed and mastered the record.

The result is twelve tracks that Soto describes as the most accurate representation of the band’s sound to date. “This album takes elements from all of our previous releases and rolls them into one,” he says. “It felt fitting to have it serve as a statement that says, ‘This is the sound of the band.'” Across it, Seahaven balance deeply introspective lyrics with some of the most memorable hooks of their career — ‘February Flowers’, ‘Hellbound’ and ‘Infinite Blue’ pair emotional weight with soaring melodies, while quieter moments like ‘Remember Me’ and closing track ‘Companion’ explore memory, loss and the fragile nature of life.

Seahaven is available to pre-order now. And if you want to hear these songs live before the album drops, you’re in luck — the band are also playing their first UK tour in eleven years this month.

Seahaven is out June 5 on Pure Noise Records. Pre-order now at seahavenband.com.
